To the honorable U.S. District Court of Massachusetts at Boston

The petition of Donald John Cumming, hereby filed, respectfully shows:

(1) My place of residence is 661 Roger Street, Lowel, Mass.

(2) My occupation is Mill Worker

(3) I was born in Embo, Scotland on November 29, 1906. My race is Scotch

(4) I declared my intention to become a citizen of the United States on March 27, 1934 in the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts, at Boston.

(5) I am not married

(6) My last foreign residence was Embo Scotland. I emigrated to the United States of America from Glasgow, Scotland. My lawful entry for permanent residence in the United States was at New York, N.Y., under the name of Donald John Cumming on June 15, 1925, on the vessel Cameronia.


(9) I have resided continuously in the United States of America for the term of five years at least immediately preceding the date of this petition, to wit, since June 15, 1925 and in the County of Middlesex this State, continuously next preceding the date of this petition, since October 1934, being a resident within said country of at least six months next preceding the date of this petition.

(10) I have not heretofore made petition for Naturalization.

Each being severally, duly, and respectively sworn, déposés and says that his a citizen of the United States preceding the date of filing this petition, of which this affidavit is a part, to wit, since the date last mentioned, and at Lowell, in the county of Middlesex, this State, in which the above-entitled petition is made, continuously since October 1934, and that he has personal knowledge that the petitioner is and during all such periods has been a person of good moral character, attach to the principles in the constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the United States, and that in his opinion the petitioner is in every way qualified to be admitted a citizen of the United States,

I hereby certify that certificate of arrival No. I-122847 from the Department of Labour, showing the lawful entry for permanent residence of the petitioner above named, together with the declaration of intention No. 248218 of such petitioner, has been by me filed with, attached to, and made a part of this petition on this date
