This petition for naturalization, here by made and filed, respectfully shows:

(1) My full, true, and correct name is THOMASINA IAN CUMMING

(2) My present place of residence is 427 “I” Avenue, National City, San Diego, California

(3) My occupation is Unemployed

(4) I was born on Nov. 24, 1902 in Embo, Sutherlandshire, Scotland

(5) My personal description is as follows: Sex Female, completion Fair, color of eyes: Dk. Brown, color of hair Dk. Brown, height 5 feet 7 inches, weight 130 pounds, visible distinctive marks None; country of which I am a citizen, subject, or national Great Britain

(6) I am not married


(8) I have No children

(9) My lawful admission for permanent residence in the United States was at Blaine, Washington under the name of Thomasina Ian Cumming on Oct 18, 1944 on the Greyhound Bus

(10) Since my lawful admission for permanent residence I have not been absent from the United States, for a period of 6 months or longer, except as follows: Departed from the United States Port: Boston, Mass Date: May, 1928; Vessel: “WINIFREDIAN” Returned to the United States Port: New York, N.Y. Date: Oct 1928 Vessel: “MINNIKAHDA”


(16) I have resided continuously in the United Stated since 10/18/44 and continuously in the State in which this petition is made for the term of 31 months at least immediately preceding the date of this petition and I have been physically present in the United States for at least one-half of the 5 year period immediately preceding the date of this petition.

(17) I have not heretofore made petition for naturalisation.

I am a citizen of the United States of America; I have personally known and have been acquainted in the United States with the petitioner named in the petition for naturalization of which this affidavit i a part, since at least July 1, 1955; to my personal knowledge the petitioner has resided, immediately preceding the date of filing this petition, in the United States continuously since the date last mentioned; that the petitioner has been physically present in the United States for at least 6 months of that period…
