Committee revamped; 3 named to serve


The Glens Falls Civic Center Advisory Committee has been reorganised with a new chairman, two new members and expanded responsibilities.


Mayor Edward Bartholomew announced the appointment of Don A. Metivier of Glens Falls as chairman of the expanded organisation, and the additions of Saul Silverstein of Glens Falls and Derry Roberts of Bolton Landing as members.



Roberts works for R. C. Machine Inc., at the Warren-Washington County Air Industrial Park. He is also a partner of Bolton Pines in Bolton Landing.


He was president of the Bolton Chamber of Commerce in 1976, and for the past two years has been president of the Warren County Council of Chambers, which represents nine municipal chambers in the county.


A 32nd degree Mason and member of the Glens Falls Shrine Club, he was active in masonic organisations in Connecticut.


He graduated from Norwalk (Conn.) High School and spent four years in the U.S. Navy.


Before moving to Bolton Landing in 1973 he was an engineer at American Cystoscope Makers and Pelham Manor, N.Y.


Born in Ilion, he is married to Ann MacKay Roberts. formerly of northern Scotland. They have two daughters, Deanna Lynn and Mariann Elizabeth.
